Quads On Fire! Lower Body Workout

Last week I tried out a new lower body workout and it was awesome! My legs were burning so much during this workout (and for a couple of days afterwards) that I thought my workout pants might catch on fire. icon wink Quads On Fire! Lower Body Workout

For this workout, use a moderate weight (not too light, not too heavy) for the workout – whatever “moderate” is for you. I used 10 pound dumbbells for the walking lunges, walking squats, single-leg deadlifts, and the glute kickbacks. For the jumping lunges and squat jumps I just used my body weight. Given that this workout incorporates HIIT blasts and plyometrics, I wouldn’t recommend it for beginners. But, as with any of my workouts, feel free to modify it to fit your level. And, don’t forget to warm up and cool down!

You can find a video demonstration of each of the exercises on my YouTube Channel’s Quads On Fire! Lower Body Workout Playlist.

Try it out and let me know via Twitter or in the comment section below what you think! Were your quads burning as much as mine?!

    • Thanks, Carli! Sometimes, it’s nice to break up the cardio in a workout. It goes by faster and helps keep boredom at bay. :)

  1. Yep that sounds like it’ll hurt….. though I definitely still want to try it :-) Sounds like a great way to break up my work day too, even just doing one section at a time!
